School/Work

Today was bring your child to work day. I don't have any kids, so I brought my work clothes to school, instead. Pretty sweet trade-off, wouldn't you say? No whining, no drooling, no running around. Just a wide-leg pair of pants, a cashmere sweater, and a comfy button up. That's A-OK with me.

Happy Thursday!

Pink Lemonade

Shirt: H&M Skirt: Forever 21 Shoes: Kenzie Jewelry: Forever 21, borrowed, gifted, vintage

I woke up this morning, put this on, looked in the mirror, and immediately thought of pink lemonade (Yellow skirt, pink-accented top...work with me, people).  And then I thought about how much better pink lemonade is than yellow lemonade.  We all know it's true.

But really, all I know is that me and my pink-lemonade clad self almost wiped out majorly in the hallway this morning...after I left my homework at home, broke my car keys, and snapped the bottom, rubbery part off the heel of my shoes.

Note: These shoes? One word. Slippery. Me? One word. Uncoordinated.

C'est la vie! :) xo

Too Late

I didn't actually wear this today.  But I wish I had. I got about half way through my day and then it hit me like a bus. Sarah, I said to myself. Why oh why did you not wear your floral pants?

So I just thought I'd show you what I would have liked to wear today.  But, alas, sleep deprivation, no coffee...they'll do things to a girl. Bad things. Stay in school, kids.

Neon Against The Gray

I Love. Neon. Although, to you it must look lemony.  In actuality, if you take away innacurate pigmentation on my camera's part or the gray day, it's really quite neony. New word. It'll be in the next edition of Webster's. You are so welcome for the heads up.

I'll just stop there for today. If I'm making up new words now, who knows what'll happen next? (That and I have to study. Yeah, maybe not so crazy after all.)

PS: Check out the Pick of the Week :)

Wrinkled and MIA

It's just been one of those weeks, my friends. No sleep, no blogging, bed head, and wrinkled clothing. Heck yes.

Almost. There. (Friday's are so, so beautiful, aren't they? It is the loveliest day in all the land. Er, calendar)

Denim Duo

Hi there! I'm back from my trip and am so glad to be back in the USA. Cabo is nice, but there is no place like home.

I wanted to be comfortable today...I love my chambray shirt (so comfy) and pairing it with a white denim skirt is a cute way to mix different colored denims together. Add a pop of color to your outfits...your shoes don't have to match :) I love going casual...there's just something so great about hanging out in denim and a pair of flats and breezing through the day. Don't tell my heels that.

Enjoy the week!

And I'm off! I'll be spending a week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico :) So, naturally, I'll be taking a week-long respite from blogging.  If I didn't, I'd have massive internet bills, so I'm gonna say that this hiatus is not only mentally, but economically necessary. I'll pick up next week with more posts, but until then, enjoy your spring break!

All Dressed Down

Shirt: Ann Taylor Jacket: J. Crew Denim: American Eagle Belt: Forever 21 Jewelry: Vintage, gifted, Forever 21 Shoes: BCBG via DSW

Happy Passover/ Easter, everyone!

It's fun to get dressed up, but it's also nice to take your fancier pieces and dress them down.  I love this shirt - it's super elegant and professional. When paired with white denim, a bright blazer, and a white belt to cinch it in, voila! A casual shirt.  That may or may not be drooled on in an hour by a very adorable young cousin. Oh, well.

And what girl doesn't love a pair of candy colored ballet flats?

Enjoy! xo

Ruffled Up

Shirt: J. Crew Cardigan: J. Crew Denim: Forever 21 Shoes: Ellen Tracy via Macy's Jewelry: Vintage, Gifted, Lucky Brand

I love pretty, feminine details that make a piece unique. I love this silk shirt...it's amazing to touch, the color is creamy and pure, and the ruffle detailing around the neck and down the front (it extends into an Amazing collar!) draws attention up to the face. The pink cardi is easy and comfortable...I was the perfect temperature all day - great for the alternating chills and sun rays of spring! Good thing, too, because this weather - 80 degrees and then 40 and then 60? come on, now, really? - is certifiably insane.

Triple Threat

Shirt: Ann Taylor Denim: Banana Republic Shoes: Calvin Klein Belt: Forever 21 Jewelry: Gifted, Vintage Nails: Lilac Pastelle by Revlon

There is something so timeless about red, beige and black. The color combination boasts class and poise, and it's popularity, over the course of time, hasn't dwindled. Thank goodness! I love my three-tone wedges so much, it's not even right. Comfortable, affordable, and red, nude, and black. A triple threat, if you will. I've never been one for wide legged jeans, but I picked these up for $8 and decided to give it a try. I like them! They're comfy and cozy and they do wonders elongating my not-so-long legs. Oh, to be vertically challenged.

Anyone ever notice that the week before a winter/spring respite is hell? I feel as if I'm drowning in essays, exams, quizzes, and worksheets! Ah! Almost there....
