When I began my senior year of high school, I realized that in order to be taken seriously in life, I needed to become more self-aware. I understood that the way I present myself to the world would determine much more than I realized - as a long time lover of all things fashion, I grew into my own style and developed my own comfort level by understanding that for me, looking my best means feeling my best.  This blog began as a creative outlet, but has quickly grown into a well-read journal for my peers and me; the support I have received means so much, and to know that my readers enjoy what they see thrills me! I've enjoyed blogging much more than I thought I would, which makes the name of this blog, derived from the word serendipity, all the more fitting - enjoying blogging was an unexpected, but pleasant surprise. 

For all those who don't know me and visit continually, I live in a small town in New Jersey and plan to attend Barnard College of Columbia next fall. My quirky but lovable family, which includes three sisters, encourages me, supports me, and keeps me grounded. I love to read, write, shop (obviously), and take pictures. My time is often spent nursing a cup of coffee and hunched over text books, or catching up on Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice...I love my friends and we have so, so much fun together. 

I'd like to take this time to thank all of the wonderful people who read my thoughts daily - you make writing Sarahndipity worthwhile.  It means more to me than you know! Please feel free to actively comment, express your thoughts, and ask questions.
